How does the free trial work?
You get 150 free energy to try Hellowriter. No credit card is required. When your free energy runs out, your story stays saved. Choose a plan to keep generating.
What happens when I run out of energy?
New AI generations pause until you add more energy or upgrade your plan. Your stories stay saved, and reading, editing and saving remain available.
Does unused energy roll over?
Monthly subscription energy resets each billing cycle and doesn't roll over. Energy purchased separately remains available for 12 months.
Can I buy extra energy?
Yes. Subscribers can add extra energy anytime without changing their plan.
Which writing models do I get?
Standard writing is available on every plan. Advanced writing is available on Series and Studio. Premium writing is available on Studio.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime. Your plan remains available through the end of the period you've already paid for.
How does yearly billing work?
Yearly plans are billed once a year and include two months free. Your energy is still added every month.
What happens if I upgrade during my billing period?
Your upgrade takes effect immediately. Stripe charges only the difference for the rest of your period, and the extra energy is added right away. Downgrades apply at the end of your current period.
Are my stories private?
Yes. Your stories are private to your account.
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location.
